Thanks to everyone that turned out for our slightly hilly run around Yearsley Woods!

30 brave souls took on the challenge of the “Hill of Death”, a long, slow and energy sapping climb back to the car park, after a first half that was fast, great under-foot, and downhill!

There were two routes that went out tonight – a shorter 4.8K route and a longer route of about 7K – both of which took in the sights of the lakes and a view across to Ampleforth Abbey before the long and punishing climb back to the car park.

As motivation to get back up the hill, we offered up a selection of cake and juice… sadly, it would have been a bit of a trek to the pub after so we did the next best thing. Who doesn’t love cake?!

As usual, our runners shared a number of pictures before, during and after the run, and here they are!…
